Today was a really wild day. I arrived at
Florence train station and left my bag there. It was a great day with sunshine and warmth. First, I went to Il Duomo which was incredible. The ornateness and deatil of the place is stunning. I climbed the 4563 steps to the top and I could see for miles. Then went to the Uffizi galleries, which is the art collection of the Medicis. That was cool with Da Vincis and Botticellis and Raphaels. I got a proper Italian lunch with some pasta and Tierre Masseu. I spent 8 euros and Realize that Italy is gonna take a big bite out of the wallet. I went back to the train station to get a ticket on the fast train to Rome, but they were all booked until tomorrow! I then turned to the slef service kiosk and got a ticket on the slowest train to Rome. So a 90 minute trip took over 3 hours. Got into my hostel and took a shower and slept for a while after a really long day.
