What I did
Mzoli's
Simon's Town Penguins
Camps Bay
One of the most beautiful cities yet that we've visited.
It was absolutely fantastic to spend an entire week with our friend, Claudia. The thing we've missed most from back home are our friends, and being able to hang out with one for a whole week was refreshing.
Almost everywhere you go in Cape Town is stunning. Even our flight in was breathtaking. First time I have gasped as I flew into a city before.
I'll let the pics do the talking. Needless to say, Claudia has it good there. Then again, we do have it good too in Vancouver.
We made sure to enjoy as much South African wines and game meat that we could. Didn't do awesome with the latter, but did pretty decent with the former. SA wines are mostly average to great quality, and a relatively expensive bottle runs about $7-8 Cdn. Many are $3-4 per bottle and are very good. We will miss you Pinotage!
As for game meat, we had ostrich (steaks and biltong = African jerky), impala, and what we were told were kudu and springbok, but might have been warthog instead. Dunno. Regardless, it was ALL good.
