21st September - Set Sail at last!
All through the night the cranes were loading containers into the boat. In the morning I got a good video of one going right past my window! At 1pm I sensed we were moving and we had finally set sail. Initially we were pulled away from Singapore port by tug boats but before long we were at sea. I wondered around the balconies surrounding the central pillar of cabins and the bridge up top.
All three meals were good again but they were all eaten in silence along with the Russian officers. I wondered whether it might be more fun eating in the Crew Mess Room with the Philippinos.
Chris, the 2nd cook, brought me up a crate of Tiger beers which was another highlight of the day! I got through six and got to bed quite late.
