Today we went to the world famous Petronas Towers. They are among the very tallest buildings in the world and have held the title of tallest in the past. One thing is for sure - they are mighty impressive. It was 9.30am - already one hour later than the guide book recommends for grabbing one of the 1400 free tickets to go up.  We got lucky though and were allotted 12.15pm as the time to come back to go up. Jamie and Zaf wanted to do it a bit later and got a 6.30pm slot. At the foot of the Petronas Towers is a huge shopping mall and I spent the next few hours looking around it.
The towers are linked by a "Skybridge" at levels 41 and 42. This is the bit the tourists are allowed up to. It's not even half-way up but it's a great feeling to be up there. You get to see a lot of the city and the surrounding hills - a definitive K.L. experience.
In the evening we went out with some English girls - Claire, Nicola and Katrina. Katrina and I used to live 10 houses apart in Sheffield's Hunter House Road while studying at university - small world!   We went to some pricey bars along Jalan (street) Ramlee and had a good laugh and a dance. In the morning Zaf and Jamie were heading to Singapore so it was our last night too so we made sure we had some beers to celebrate.
Oh, and I've just uploaded a new video in a previous entry for Day 123-Day 129 at the Cameron Highlands if you're interested.
