On the way into Brisbane I also stopped off at Australia Zoo. Although Steve Irwin is dead now his image is still every where. The actual zoo itself was a bit disapointing. It seems to be aimed completely at children which I suppose is fair enough but it was also quite expensive to get in. The crocodile show wasn't up to much but after seeing big crocodiles in Kakadu a show in a zoo is never going to be as good.
What was good was seeing koalas which I haven't seen yet. Even better, some of them were even awake when I was there. Naturally there were lots of kangaroos running around too , along with all the other usual suspects from australia like dingoes, crocs and lots of poisonous snakes.
