Despite Mikey reminding me yesterday, I still forgot that it was our 10 year anniversary today! Bad form, just like my Dad. I'll try my best to remember the one year wedding anniversary tomorrow. Super-husband tried to book a cabin at the KOA for us tonight, but due to lack of availability has settled for one tomorrow night in Allentown instead. Still lovely to me after 10 years…

Today was all about polishing off another 50 miles and so after a McDonald’s mega breakfast we decided to take the 6 lane highway for the rest of the day. It wasn’t pretty, and it was noisy and boring, but we ate up the miles with very little effort. A wide hard shoulder kept us safe and we arrived here in Jonestown by 3pm – a serious result after slogging out 7/8hr days for what seems like weeks.

I’ve just stuck all the stinking gear in the wash for the last time before New York and Mikey is currently trying to fix my snapped gear cable. There lots of swearing going on and he’s bleeding from the leg. He’s also just said that if he had a business like Dan’s we’d be really poor so I think it’s not going very well! Never mind, I think I can make it to New York with a seven speed rather than a 21 speed, and Daniel can fix it at Gatwick if need be – IN ONLY SEVEN DAYS TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SERIOUSLY CANNOT WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m off to cook us a delightful dinner of baked beans, peas and tuna. More exciting adventures tomorrow…

Miles Cycled: 47 painless motorway miles.

Number of Times beeped at sworn at: Zero – that’s two days in a row with no abuse.
