Some serious planning was needed this morning and the campground living room provided the ideal environment for getting our heads together and working out where we are going to be staying for the next few nights. We were helped along by coffee and muffins and after a productive hour left the site very pleased with our mornings work.  We cycled out of the unexpectedly beautiful town of Lebanon in glorious sunshine and the wind helping us along for a change.

Lebanon was not the only beautiful town we passed through today. Sabina was also a good looking place and 'Melvin' rivalled yesterdays ‘Wayne’ for best named town award.  We cycled the first 20 miles without a break on quiet country roads.  The only point of pain was climbing a hill from a steep descent down to a river.  It was steep enough for a little walk and push from Polly, I was once again (and quite rightly) berated for not fixing her gears properly.

We paused for lunch just before Wilmington.  A very good brown bag lunch deal appeared making us feel like we were on a school trip.  Adequately fuelled we whizzed through Wilmington and onto the town of Washington Court House.  Here we were able to stock up for the evening and rush out of town in the rush hour traffic.  45 miles down but still 20 ahead of us.

The last 20 of the day was dream cycling.  The temperature dropped a little and the road out to Deer Creek State Park was quiet enough for us to give updates about the books we have been reading recently. Another John Grisham finished and Polly insists I must diversify my reading.

Deer Creek Park is just how it sounds.  As we entered the gates a mother and young Bambi leapt across the road ahead (Polly did not do the moment justice with her photography).  We are camping in another beautiful forest  but now I must go as Polly has called for the tent to go up as the mosquitos are now out in force.

Miles Cycled; 65 but still feeling strong at the end of the day

No. of times beeped and sworn at:  twice but it was the same car who came back to have another go
