What is it with these wildlife enthusiasts? Have they never come across the idea of sleeping in? Again we were up and about early, I thought we were supposed to be on holiday.  We checked out of the dorm (a good thing), and then went off to breakfast before meeting for the 10am canopy walk.  There had been no reported bug attacks during the night and we were all on pretty good form, maybe getting away from televisions and internet has actually mellowed us out.

The canopy walk was lovely.  The longest of its kind in the world at some 480m.  There was not much wildlife about, but being up above the trees on a rope walkway was exciting enough.  On the way down we did catch sight of some pygmy squirrels, a few stick insects and some darting lizards but still no snakes.

We left Mulu after lunch to arrive at the airport for our flight onwards to Kuching.  After an hour of sweating, waiting in the airport café, we discovered the air conditioned waiting room.  Here we spent the last half an hour waiting for the delayed flight, concerned that if the plane is too late we might miss The Royal Wedding.

We didn't miss it and how pleased we were to feel part of the big day.  The crowd at Singghasana Lodge had gone all out with the face paints and flags.  We didn't even check out the room through fear of missing something good as Kate was driven through London to meet Wills at The Abbey.  We all held it together apart from Giles who sobbed his heart out all the way through.

Later that night we found a superb restaurant and got stuck back into Western food in style, and of course raised a glass to the newly weds.

Hey guys, glad you are having so much fun! We are playing the stressed out game of try and sell your house still (ours, not yours...now that could be fun!) but hope to know what is happening by the end of the week! Eeek! Olaf wants to type (he was taught by the master, eh Pols!) and so love to all

I'm so glad that Giles took the Royal Wedding on the chin like a real man! I was also glad to hear birthday celebrationswent on long into the night and various parts of anatomy were displayed via scype. I am planning a very sedate day tomorrow for my b'day - CJB and i are off to an hotel for the night tucked away in the wilds of Surrey. Echo was launched yesterday and we can't wait to get away on her - I think she must be looking pretty smart as CJB and George have spent enough time on her.
