The lure of Costa struck again and we had a great big breakfast (with table service in Serbia). The weather was really bad and in no time the socks were wet through. Trying to put a brave face on we jumped on the tram. We strolled past parliament and into the main center. We checked out a few bookshops but with the rain still hammering down we opted for a very nice coffee house which evolved into lunch (Greek salad, soup and vino=very nice indeed). We did our first itouch skype to discover that the sun was shining in Bosham (thanks Elizabeth and Jojo). It certainly was not in Belgrade and although we kept going, trying top sightsee up at the old fortress, it was pretty miserable. We should have admitted defeat at that point but instead decided to go hunting for a bike shop. We got really lost, much much wetter, and gave up (brave face definitely now disappeared). After a stomp back to the hostel we cheered ourselves up by deciding on a nice hot choc. Typically, this was also ruined when we opened the carton to discover yogurt instead of milk (one of those days). We salvaged the evening with a lovely meal out next door where the friendly waiter gave us 10% off and 2 free pens, hey, what else can you ask for? Belgrade is undoubtedly a very cool place and there is loads to see and do, just not today in the rain. Must come back and try again another time.

Am pleased to report that Delhi has a Costa - yet to find out about Mumbai - may have to change plans if Costa is misssing! xxxxxxxxxxxxx
