Great day so far. Woke up to cold sunshine, but Mikey had brought his clothes in as Daddy Storton text to remind him so at least he wasn't soaking. Mikey spent a long time looking for the washing up liquid and trek towel which had mysteriously disappeared over night. I think one of the Garden gnomes from the mobiles homes took them. Then we set off to Lucerne, 25miles to lunch. Expecting massive hills we were amazed that it was actually nearly all flat or down hill and we got here at 11.30. Looks like another beautiful town so we will have a wander then set off for somewhere on route to Zurich  tonight. Still so hot and sunny here. Hope you have good weather at home.

Mikey just went off to get food and check the bikes, he came back and says mine has a parking ticket!? Will let you know what happens about that! Think it was in the Velo city parking space maybe.

I watched these little hitlers removing bikes from the jammed bike parking zones and put them on the back of a lorry to take them off to who knows where.  I think the parking ticket Polly got was a narrow escape, could have easily lost a bike.  We spent the afternoon in Lucern, a beautiful city.  Polly had to make a visit to the doctor to check out a cut she has on her leg from scraping a pedal.  We may have to take it easy for a couple of days.  We set up camp and then went back into town to see the city by night.  We made a very good tomato and mozzarella salad and sat by the most photographed monument in Switzerland.  A very old bridge with a 30m water tower where they used to torture prisoners.  We also visited the famous Lion sculpture. It has been carved into the rock and is actually quite moving.  It shows a speared Lion taking its last few breaths.

Not much ground made today, only about 30 miles but it will do.  We are well on course to make Istanbul for early November.
