Susie decided to sponsor one elderly woman and the little girl Rina (not sure of spelling) whose home we visited on Sunday.  She is 3.  Susie liked that there was a male figure in the home in the presence of the grandpa and that the mother Karla  is a hard worker.  Of course, we had also met Rina and seen the condition of her home.

Rina is smart and feisty.  In the water, at first she was a bit afraid of Pat as he went after kids with "mud hand" or "sea weed head" but after a while she started giving it right back to him.
There is lots of potential here! She also is a little worker, picking up chairs without being asked and carrying them up the hill.

When they were on the bus to leave I blew her a kiss and she blew one back to me!
