Pat got up early and drove to the GG bridge, parked and ran across it both ways for his morning jog! Yea, Pat!!

We bought transit passes.  The cable car turnaround was at the corner of our street!
We took it to China town and back.  Not big Chinatown fans.  Had a horrible meal here! Tried a local place that was in my (Goodwill 99 cent) guidebook from 1999 (Hidden California coast). I suggested we leave before we were waited on but P and D said we should stay.  It was packed with locals, but service was sloppy and not friendly and the food was awful, I didn't even order.  Oh well.  St Mark's place is a nice little park to sit in, otherwise, we weren't too impressed with Chinatown.

Again we needed to charge the camera so we cable car'd back and Danny went back down to buy his friends something.  I walked to a thrift store where the profits go to AIDS patients and to a consignment shop next to it but didnt' find anything to buy.  They were down the block from the HI. Got the camera and bussed to the GG park.  We walked through the rose garden, really pretty, and past the deYoung museum where King Tut exhibit is on.  Danny hates museums, this was just a sightseeing vacation and I didn't want to be inside on such a great day anyway.  The conservatory of flowers was closed, but the grounds themselves were really beautiful.  We walked to the Japanese tea garden but hadn't realized you had to pay so we skipped it as there is so much beauty free for the taking, and we were kind of tired.

We stopped at a big grocery store to get supplies.  The night before we stopped at a little market and the prices were really high so were happy to find this chain store.
