Started this morning around 8:00a.m. with some coffee and good conversation. Around about 10a.m. we left for points south to the Houston Space Center (NASA).  On our arrival we booked the tram tour which took us behind-the-scenes journey through NASA's Johnson Space Center, we visited the Historic Mission Control Center, the Space Vehicle Mockup and saw many of the buildings being used today for space research.  Most of the buildings we were not able to go into for security reasons, but it was fun seeing them from the outside.  Before returning to Space Center Houston Visitor's Center, we also visited the "all new" Saturn V Complex at Rocket Park. There were pictures of all the astronauts and monuments to those who didn’t return from their voyages.

The Visitor’s center had a food mall.  We had lunch at Blast-Off Bistro which serves up an assortment of deli favorites in a bistro-style atmosphere.  There were other choices we could have lunch from like South of the Martian Border, Moon Wok, Solar Salads and Launch Foods.  After our lunch we looked around at all the exhibits, many of which were hands on and simulators.  It was an enjoyable day of learning about space and the programs that the astronauts go through.  We got a lot of pictures, but I just attached a few below.  Hope you enjoy viewing them.

On our way back home with stopped at a local Walmart Neighborhood store to buy some Bluebell Triple Berry Ice-cream for desert to go with the with a great ham dinner Donna was making.  And believe me dinner was great.  I have really missed Bluebell Ice-Cream and it was fun having a large choice of flavors.  After dinner we watched some TV and talked about all the fun we have had over the years.  Chelsie showed me several crafts she has been working on.  A girl after my own heart, both of us love crafts.

On this trip I realized how lucky I am to have so many wonderful friends that have blessed my life.  Today we may be spread out over the country, but our hearts are still in the same place close to each other.

God Bless all my many friends I have made over a life time, and may he bless their families too.  Bless our Astronauts who have reach the far stars and back again.

So nice to be able to keep up with your travels. I have been very busy since you left. I didn't know I would have William all week. It has been fun and has kept me from feeling lonely with all summers guests gone. Sounds like you are having another great time with friends. So glad all is going well. Nice pictures and blog.
