Taos, Santa Fe and Albuquerque, New Mexico

Well, it's my turn to write about our day. We toured Taos this morning but were disappointed - we spoke with a gallery manager and she said that due to the downturn in the economy shops are opening fewer days and Tuesday seems to be the day many of them choose so we hopped on our bikes and after a few wrong turns and some very curvy roads we arrived in Santa Fe. We enjoyed our afternoon looking at jewelry and rugs and Kwon, we didn't buy a thing so we don't need the trailer yet. Thanks for the offer. Phil did see a 9 foot metal sculpture of a moose that he likes so we may need you yet. We are now in Albuquerque and will spend tomorrow cruising down the Interstate (seems to be about the only way across the state) to Flagstaff.

Penny, if you missed Ortega's on the Plaza in Santa Fe, you missed the very best jewelry. It's my favorite hangout in Santa Fe, and I've left lots of $$$ on that corner.
