Our entry is titled "Thanksgiving" for a very good reason. We spent many Thanksgiving holidays with Larry and Laurie Ann and their three girls and LA prepared a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner for us last night. We arrived save and sound in Lincoln yesterday around 6:30 pm after a hard ride of 490 miles - 250 of them in the rain - our rain gear kept us dry. We also had 25+ cross winds most of the way. As you would suspect we were the only motorcycles on the road until Des Moines and even then fellow riders were scarce. It was great to wake up to sunny and dry weather this morning. We are going to tour Lincoln a bit this morning and leave for western Nebraska early afternoon.

Penny and Phil,
I made it over to school and it was good to read you made it Lincoln without any problems. The Laurie Ann Thanksgiving dinner must have been quite a treat after all those rainy, windy miles. It's early afternoon by my watch so I'm imagining your just about ready to start our on the next leg of your trip. I've been doing some printing but am just about ready to head home (on my bicycle) and take a few more parts of my motorcycle. I've been inspired to get myself back on the road!
