Sorry for not posting the last two days but Barb's parents don't have Internet access at their home.  I'm sitting at the Lakeland Harley Davidson dealer waiting for my oil to get changed so I thought this would be a good time to update the Blog.

We rode up from Key West on Wednesday morning and took a route through the Everglades National Park on the road nicknamed "Aalligator Alley".  We rode this highway for almost 100 miles with nary a gator to be seen.  I was very disappointed.  We pulled off the road a number of times to peer into the swamp looking for the little buggers but they were hiding good.  After we got through the alley, we stopped for fuel and talked to a local guy who asked where we had just come from.  When we told him Alligator Alley, he asked how many gators we saw and when we told him none, he said he'd driven the highway many times and always saw gators.  Now we were really disappointed but we still have time since we'll be riding the gulf coast for he next few days and they are still in that area too.  We did actually see one at Weeki Wachee park but you'll have to look at the pictures to see how fierce this gator was.

Anyway, after a nice ride from Key West to Zephyrhills Florida, we have now spent two relaxing days with family.  As I already mentioned, we went to Weeki Wachee Springs park and saw a couple of Mermaid shows as well as walked around this very nice State Park.  The shows were quite fun and you could really see the history in the place.  The show has been going on for over 60 years (I think the mermaid have changed out since it started...)

Today was a good day to relax and then take care of maintenance issues.  I'm getting oil, transmission and primary oil changed and Barb is about 50 miles from me getting her bike's oil changed too.  When we get this done, we'll go to dinner with Barb's folks and do our final prep for hitting the road tomorrow morning.

We rode about 480 miles from Key West to Zephyrhills on Wednesday and just a few miles since then. I'll update our total miles when we get to our next stop.

I just wanted you to know that today I prayed for you too.  We try to pray for our family and friends all the time but today I prayed for all the folks who are reading this blog that I don't know by name.  I especially prayed that if you don't know Jesus, that he makes his presence known to you in a real and personal way.  I hope that when he does, you listen to the spirit that is calling to you.  It may be while you are having a quiet moment, reading a book (maybe even the Bible) or doing routine things like driving your car.  Just be sure to listen and then I pray that you respond by accepting the love and forgiveness he offers.

Yours in Christ.
