This will be a short entry since I didn't get one done yesterday which is when this was due. We travelled from Ramona, CA (near San Diego) to Granite Bay, CA (near Sacramento) and had a wonderful ride. The weather was great and the roads were not too busy. We intentionally planned this part of the ride to get us through L.A. on a weekend. Our good friend Gary suggested taking a more inland route through the Los Angeles basin and man was he right. We missed a major backup on I-5 from a wreck and saw nothing but clear road. We got to Bob and Janet's beautiful home early even and had a leisurely dinner with them before catching some ZZZZ's. We rode 570 miles on our first day.
