We spent so much time exploring the outdoors in Tucson that it wasn't until our last week that we finally explored downtown.  We did this after our drive up to Mt. Lemmon, so it wasn't a long exploration.  But I wanted to share some of the sights of both old and new Tucson that we found. 

A final thought on our Tucson trip.  We needed a place to stay while weather warmed up at our next destination in northern Arizona.  We couldn't have found a better place to stay than in Tucson for both the weather (even though it was colder and wetter than average -- still better than most of the rest of the country) and the outdoors.  If I were going to have a second home out west for winter, Tucson would be my top choice.

Next stop:  Tombstone and Bisbee
