Our next adventure took us to Desert Hot Springs which is very close to Palm Springs. The RV resort at which we stayed had natural hot springs fed into spas and swimming pools, but with no sulfur smells.  It was heavenly to soak our bodies in the healing waters.  We took the opportunity to stay and relax for several days.  We strayed from Desert Hot Springs only to venture into Palm Springs.  We took a driving tour of the mid-century modern architecture that is a hallmark of Palm Springs, using a guide from the Visitor Center.  The highlight was finding Elvis and Priscilla's honeymoon cottage!  You were supposed to call ahead for an official tour, but instead, I ventured in to take photos after a car left, peaking through windows,  Fun!

We picked up a real estate guide to dream about which multi-million dollar "this century" home we would buy if we won the lotto!  Of course, it would be our winter home, since this area gets in the 100-120 degree range in the summer – this is the desert, after all!
