Next stop in our “excellent adventures” was Badlands National Park in South Dakota.  We experienced great weather when we were there (a rare occurrence so far!!).  Our campsite was a simple pull-through with no hook-ups but a spectacular view of nearby rock formations.  We only spent one night but we had plenty of time to drive through the park the afternoon we got there and the next day on our way to the Black Hills.

As our trip progresses, I’m sure you will get bored with me saying how great the scenery was – but it’s not an overstatement with the Badlands.  Besides the fantastic rock formations, we were able to see prong-horned antelope, wild turkey and scads of prairie dogs.  Oh - and there aredonkeys who comeup to cars and beg!
