Saying Goodbye to the Boys

30/11/2010

The boys were leaving, they had decided to try and cross the boarder into Cambodia today and reach Stung Treng, 70/80 kms. They had arranged with the guy that they were renting their rooms from to take them in his boat/canoe to the mainland at 10;00. Of course they had to have breakfast, fuel for the road, and after a hearty one they went back to their rooms for final packing. This involves picking up everything off the floor and stuffing in their rucksacks. Lee has downsized greatly. He has only 1 pair of flip flops, toothbrush, couple of tops, couple of shorts, 1 pair of brand new socks, [can’t wear them with flip flops] 2 pairs of pants, [ can last 4 days each, back to front, front to back, inside out front to back and inside out back to front!!!

After a quick check by MUM that nothing was left in their rooms, bikes loaded onto boat and the boys set off,,,3 men in a boat,,,,, with Mum and Dad fondly waving farewell,,,See you in 4/5 months Lee XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Our final day on beautiful, {Want To Stay Don Det} and we planned to catch up on this blog. Got a bottle of £2.50 Vodka couple of cokes and sat on out balcony, watching the Mekong and typing up our last 2 weeks. The sun was beautiful and after a couple of Vodkas Phyllis needed to sit and soak up the sun, and fall asleep, so Roger took his turn with the blog!! A very lazy day and at about 15;00 we roused ourselves to walk to the west side of the island, 4 mins away, to watch the

SUNSET !!

This looks great. Love the sunset. I'm surprised you could see it after all that vodka. You will have to dry out when you come home (Not) !!!!!!!!
