Before everyone left to go home for Christmas we took the train to a small town in lower Niedersachsen called Goslar. Little did we know they have a great Christmas market with a ton of real pine trees as decorations. The best part was the pine tree forest, where they cut off the lower branches of the pine trees and lined the edge with full pine trees. The floor of the forest was covered with wood chips which made it really warm to walk on. We had a lot of fun walking around the old part of the city, eating the great food and drinking warm drinks! There was also a nativity with a lot of real animals to pet and feed.
