Shortly after arriving in Copacabana it started to rain, and it did not stop! Ian and I had planned to head over to the islands of the sun and the moon but with the weather against us instead decided to make our way on to La Paz instead. We wrote the lads an email to let them know our plans and as I walked out of the cafe I saw our Canadian friends from Machu Picchu trudging up from the port! They had headed back to the main land whilst Alex, Chris and Jack had decided to stay an extra night on the island. After a coffee and breakfast to help them warm up we all decided to get a bus to La Paz. There were buses heading there but as (a) we were not keen on leaving our rucksacks on the top fo them in the driving rain, and (b) Ian and I had gotten quite used to private transportation, we decided to hire a private minibus to take us there instead. This turned out to only be marginally more expensive than the normal bus and it was much more fun. The highlight had to be driving onto a barge which took us to the other side of the lake - yet another method of transportation ticked off the list!
