There really isn't much going on in Uyuni but they put you in a 4x4 for 3 or 4 days and take you through some of the most stunning scenery. At risk of sounding stupid I was quite surprised by how flat the salt flats were and I can see why they use that sort of thing for land speed records. After the first day we left the salt flats and carried on to numerous lagoons/lakes (not sure what the difference is). There were flamingos in most of the lakes and whilst it looked quite pretty the smell of flamingo dung was pretty overpowering. Unfortunately we have had our i-pod stolen somewhere between Buenos Aires and Lima so we had to make do with the drivers tapes. He had one Sting album and a mexican "Sting-a-like" tape which got pretty tedious with about 8+ hours driving a day. Not much more to say since the pictures won't do the scenery justice and we didn't really actually do all that much else but look at the scenery.
