We decided to get to the bike shop as soon as it opened to give us the best chance of replacing Antek's wheel, and hopefully give us enough time to complete our mileage for the day. The man in the shop said he needed an hour to look at it so we went to get breakfast in a great little cafe called 'Eggheads' which was 'The Wizard of Oz' themed but we couldn't work out where the link with the name came from! We returned to the shop positive that we could still finish the day in good time when bad news struck. The man couldn't fix the wheel and said he rang all the other bike shops in the neighbouring towns, none of whom could replace it either. However, he had managed to order a new wheel but unfortunately that wouldn't arrive until the next day. Annoyingly this was another day behind schedule but it was not exactly like we had a choice so we embraced the delights that Fort Bragg had to offer! This turned out to be a lot of good food so we spent the day eating away our frustration. We have no idea what time the new wheel will come tomorrow so are planning on spending the morning (and hopefully that will be it) waiting in the bike shop, and fingers crossed will get on the road early enough to get to our campsite for the night!
