I have returned for a brief visit to one of my favorite hostels, Riverside Lodge, in
Berlin. It is run by two lovely women, Liane and Jutta and has a definite Zen feel to it. I feel like I am at home. I had planned to just stay one evening before travelling on to
Prague, but that was 3 days ago. I think that I have reached that point in long-term travel where I am constantly looking for a place to land. It becomes harder and harder each leg to extricate myself from a place, especially if I am comfortable. I know that you are asking what explorations I have accomplished in my 3 days in this incredible city and I will tell you. I saw the new Harry Potter (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire) movie. In English. Yep. That has been the extent of my exploration of
Berlin. This time. But, I shall return. It looks like I will be experiencing a German Christmas and New Year's here in Berlin! I am very excited.
Alas, I must say good-bye to Berlin tonight as I head to
Prague on the train tomorrow. I will miss the lovely Christmas lights, the clean, crisp air and the winter festivals. We will just have to see how Prague compares! I will keep you posted.
