One would think, having walked 3 miles to Capernum the first day (hot hot), to the top of Mount of Beatitudes the second day (hot hot hot) and then walking almost 8 miles to the Jordan River (hot hot hot hotter), when I rose out of the water from my dip in the Jordan the skies would have opened as they did for Jesus when he was baptized in the Jordan and maybe just maybe a voice from God would descend upon me....I heard nothing!!! That actually probably is a good thing....how would I explain hearing voices.

Yet, I felt amazingly refreshed. Maybe that was God's message...be refreshed and take a rest. So I listened and spent a nice day on the banks of the Jordan, reflecting on the wonderful beauty and compassion of God's Providence having taking me to that point and place after eight months from the day I left New Mexico! Silence, listening and observing life along the Jordan was my only response.

Being on the Northern shore of the Sea of Galilee was an "awe" inspiring experience for, it was this area Jesus called his own! It was here he walked the shores. It was here Peter lived, as well as a couple other Apostles. It was here he established his Church. It was here he fed 5000. It was here he taught us to have "BE"attitudes. And here I was....to think I almost did not come to Israel. I can honestly say it was God's hand that led me here and has guided my steps.
