Dear Friends

The last country on my SE Asia trip and probably the most sad part.  I just completed the history information of my guide...to sum Cambodia's history - "the good, the bad and the ugly"....Tomorrow we are going to the Killing fields and will see the prison museum - it will be very tough and very sad!

12 days Vietnam were amazing -

13 hours traveling by  THE Reunification Train is an absolute experience which should be done once in a lifetime but I assume not more.

Hoi An is a very charming town. I had the pleasure to be on a bike (after ten years!) on three occasions to enjoy the beauty of Vietnam's rice fields and nature. It is a dream to bike and discover the locals (which are always smiling and greeting!) and beauty of this country side.

We spent one night in a private house on an Island at the Mekong Delta - far away from tourist's and in the middle of locals....an unforgettable experience.

As you can see I am enjoying every day of my trip - it is a stressful trip since we are staying almost every day on different places ( I am a perfect back packer by now! ) therefore please forgive me that I am not able to post updates regularly. As mentioned previously - picture say much more then words - I have about 1000 pics but it takes a very long time to update even one on this website. As you can imagine internet connection is also a challenge - however I have to admit that this one (in Cambodia!) is the fastest and most reliable one so far and Lao's one is number two....  I will post a few pics very soon - there is so many to see ......

I miss you all and hope you are doing well ... next week (26 May 07) I will be back in Bangkok - for couple of days .... If you have time, please stop by!!!!

A very - very - very relaxed Pierre

Burn a copy
Hiya! Good to hear that you are still enjoying being a backpacker and seeing new places, people and experience a completely different world compared to PHD life! Just a recommendation (if you have not already) - burn all your photos on a cd and keep with you/send home should something happen. A friend of mine learnt the hardway - lucky he had just downloaded the images before the camera was in someone else's hands! Take care and keep us posted of your adventure for whenever you have the Internet connection available. Big hug! Loella
