Visited France back in 1995 but never stopped in Paris (passed through the train station from Southern France on my way to Denmark) so finally I was going to see the "City of Love".  I had argued with myself in the past that a pre-requisite for a Paris visit was to be accompanied by a lover but I figured I could be waiting a long time to have all the pre-requisites in place!

"Another F Monument" is what I thought I'd be saying by the end of my first day in Paris but somehow it kept me enthralled and interested for a good week at least.  I have to say I think Paris is the most beautiful city I have ever visited.  Yes, you do become a little immune to the endless supply of museums, cathedrals, statues and other historical buildings but everything is in such good condition and since it's been a good 10 years since I've spent a significant amount of time in a big European city - it was quite a novelty for me (at least for the first 7 days).  Managed to give my camera a good workout and shot the Eiffel Tower so many times, it's a wonder I didn't get arrested (and there are always lot of Gendarme around to do so).
