Gosh it was cold last night - we think there was a frost (at least there was one inside the RV, even if not outside or perhaps that was just our imagination).  The kettle boiling for the first cuppa soon warmed things up and we decided to get straight underway and stop off for a Fat Boys Breakfast.   After an hour or so we had entered British Columbia.   We stopped off at Mount Robson viewpoint - the highest peak in the Rockies and one off the finest fry ups you can imagine.   All this outdoor living does plenty for the appetite.   We had a long drive ahead, so we pressed on, heading south towards the west coast.

Chrissy spotted a spotted a sign advertising a River Safari that provided a glimpse at the local wildlife, so we decided to stop off and take a venture into the wilderness.   I can only describe the trip in a similar manner ot an earlier trip ...... wow, ..... wow, ...... wow.   We raced off in a jet boat downstream and across a remote lake and then slowly along the coastline, looking out for a wildlife encounter.   Then there it was - a Black Bear plodding along the coastline.   The sighting was so remarkable that Phil was convinced it was a man in a suit, but no - was definitely a real bear, in the wilds and sharing it place with us.  It was a truly remarkable experience and one we will treasure forever.

We had stopped far longer than we had either expected o paid for, so we had to race down the road for the next 3 hours to get close to our overnight location.   Our campsite was not the world's greatest, but we did get WiFi, so at least the Blog is up to date.

Trend Spotter
I am beginning to see a little bit of a trend!!! The detailed descriptions of your trip make fantastic reading, and are only beaten by the descriptions of the breakfasts, like father like son, thinking with you bellies!!!

WOW!
I cannot believe you saw bears! I am very very jealous! You lucky things! I take it mr montgomery was not allowed on the trip! I don't think he should meet a bear after muskrats he has had enough scraps with candian wildlife.
Love Amy

Holiday Update.
Well last night was a restless on as the coast was battered by gale force winds and torrential rain. They were calling it the Autumn Storm and I was convinced at 4.30 in the morning the caravan was going to blow over, the whole thing was shaking. However when we awoke this morning the sun was shining again and the sea was glistening. We had a lazy morning and bacon butties for breakfast then pottered down here to catch up on your adventure. We are having the most amazing time, we have seen so much of cornwall it is very reminiscant of our family holidays, the ones where we tend not to stop we travelled from lands end up to St Ives stopping at every cove and cliff. The coast is just breath taking. We saw several seals and got photos of a couple. They are so cute! We also have been to penzance and next weeks mission is to travel the whole of the south west of cornwall and see the minnack theatre and mousehole etc. We popped to newquay as well. There is a place called treasure park where we went gold panning and we picked an oyster out of a tank to see if we could win a pearl. I was horrified that it was not an empty shell and a real live creature was pulled out!!!! However much to our delight there was a pearl in it and not just any pearl a 7.5mm Blue pearl and it was then valued and certified as being worth £59.00! not bad hey! It is the most beautiful pearl and we are going to have it set in a necklace for me. Dan thinks he is a cool dude with his newquay life guard hoodie and sunglasses! I told him that he best be a good swimmer because that sea looks a little bit rough. NOt only that but the paper said there was a fisherman attacked off the cornish coast by a blue shark last week so lets hope he isn't needed! Anyway I've just looked out the window and the sunshine that was looking so pretty over St Ives has now vanished along with St Ives as the rain heads this way! We are off to St Ives now to go and relax on the harbour front. Hopefully the sun will be back in a bit, we have been very lucky that the sun doesn't stay away too long! Love you Amy and Dan x x x x
