Bacon and Eggs seemed to be the order of the day, so after a hearty breakfast we set off. We decided to pop back into Banff to do a little shopping as we both needed warm hats and gloves! We settled on a couple of natty Norwegian models that look a little odd but do the job - look out for the photos. Our journey then took us north along the Bow Valley Parkway, slightly off the beaten track, but a great way to get to Lake Louise. We parked up right by the lakeside and joined the throng of tourists gathering to photograph this outstanding vista. We then decided to take a walk to a nearby lake called Agnes Lake, just under 4 kms away and offering a Tearoom at journeys end. The route was a quite a climb and a little more arduous than we had anticipated and turned into a mountain climb! Chrissy commented on that it was typical of the sort of stroll we seem to end up on and explained why so few of the tourists chose to take the route. However, the reward at the top of the climb was worth it, with spectacular views and good tea as well!
That night, we decided to rest a little and snuggled down to watch a DVD. We slept well.

The color of the water while 'just thinking' reminds me of Hawaii (maybe that will help a little with the snow)...
