This morning Michelle made us pancakes for breakfast, something she credits me for getting her started in as a child.  They were awesome! Later, Wes and I drove to the Wesleyan mission where they had stored some of their belongings while they were in the states.  It was nice to hear people speak English.   Our goal for the day was to go to the Mall and check it out plus go ice skating at their outdoor rink.  We made our way there by mid afternoon, just in time for the rink to shut down for an hour.  No problem, it's freezing out today.  Forecast is to dip into the single digits tonight and I think it was getting a head start. We plan to come back and try next week.

Some Czech culture observations today.  No one talks on the bus, or at the bus station.  Not much facial expression either.  Customer service isn't really a priority either it appears.  Where as in America, a store clerk might approach you as you browse, here they never make contact even after you've decided to buy.  Maybe they can spot Americans and stay away. Look at the photo below of the store front.  Wes told me it's an interpretation of an American.  His shirt says, "Born in the USA"  And he's a bit overweight.  We've earned the recognition.  Not much evidence of that here.

Tonight, we're going to have home made pizza. Michelle's specialty.  Our run on non-Czech food is running out, though.  A church family is inviting us to their home on Sunday after church.  Cool.
