Where I stayed
last night in the giant villa
Today we went to Typhoon Lagoon, the biggest water park I've ever experienced.
First ride we went on was a water coaster called Crush N’Gusher. It was pretty good fun, and the only water slide I’ve ever been on that actually goes up. As at Aquatica, with Russ and I in one tube we can get some serious speed and air on the jumps.
One thing I didn’t know about Typhoon Lagoon is that it has huge wave pool. I didn’t really know what to expect until a 9ft wave pounded itself towards me at what seemed like 100 miles an hour. This thing absolutely knocks you for six, and after a few of them, I decided that actually, the shallow end was somewhere I was more comfortable in. Russ on the other hand was doing handstands and diving through them like no tomorrow. Quite frankly, I pussed out.
The rest of the day was spent having a leisurely float around Castaway Creek, and having our 'crown jewels’ pounded to dust on the300ft Humunga Kowabunga. It was seriously hot today, and when I was in the Line to order food I literally thought I was going to keel over. No burning though, seeing as I’m currently 90% suncream.
After Typhoon Lagoon we had a stroll around Downtown Disney. We encountered the biggest Lego shop I’d ever seen. You could replace any lego bit you care to have lost there. I was disappointed that there wasn’t a Lego Buzz Lightyear keyring. You could get a Woody one, but who wants a Woody anyways ?
We went and had a beer in Planet Hollywood. Some of the memorabilia that they have in there is awesome. We saw Freddy Krueger’s real glove, hat and shirt, a lazer pistol from the first Star Wars, and the frozen Sly Stallone from Demolition Man. All the original stuff, and was very impressive.
Its our last night in Florida tonight, so we’re just going to mooch around, have an early night and get ourselves ready for the flight to Chicago and my first baseball game tomorrow.
Ride Count – Crush ‘n’ Gusher x 5, Keelhaul Falls x 2,Mayday Falls x 2, Humunga Kowabunga x 2, Storm Slides x 3.

I don't think Chicago is going to be the place to see dodgy shirts and tattoos so this was the last chance for someone to beat pizza lady. Did it happen???... No it didn't but we did see this huge guy with a giant green flying unicorn on his back. My spot of the day was seeing a guy looking into a mirror trying to get something out of his eye, and when he leant forward his stomach flopped into the sink and turned on the automatic taps. This will no doubt be me one day.
Speedo Count: 6
Hopefully Chicago will provide you a little bit of tatto/haircut entertainment despite your fears. Enjoying your updates :) Give my love to Suse, and remember to bring me a postcard!
Yes, don't forget the postcards guys!!
and if you're back in that ma-hoosive lego shop then feel free to get purple and turquoise (or any rarely seen colour) lego blocks for Tobes :-)
Those typhoon lagoon photos look way more 'fruity' then I was expecting.
Nearly as fruity as the ride itself. God bless you Coconut Crusher!
