The bike is washed and waxed and the bags are mostly packed and ready to strapped on. I'm just finishing up a few last-minute jobs around the house before I leave for the next 5 weeks. It's been 4 years since I took any sort of lengthy bike trip and I can hardly wait to go. I plan to be on the road around 4am (we'll see how that turns out!) an will hopefully make it to Thunder Bay nightfall.
This is going to be an important trip, I think (hope). A chance to purge some demons and re-focus my life somewhat. The past month has been, perhaps, the most trying time I've been through; I'm looking forward to time alone on the road to just let my thoughts roam where they will. Hopefully things will become clear on their own without the pressure to trying to make it happen.
I'll try to keep this blog up to date every day or two - I'm generally lousy at correspondane but I will make an effort all the same. Hopefully I'll be seeing some of you soon!
