Heading to the Tel Hazor (see book of Joshua 11, he conquered this land). Drove through Cana of Nazareth, took lots of pics from the bus. The scenery is so amazing! Lots of towns, fields, and hills. One of them was the Zafat, the "city on the hill" that Jesus pointed out. Note Tel means Hill that has lots of layers. People built upon older sections of people long before.

Tel Hazor, 25 acres, it would be where the King lived. 200 acres of city. Dr. Roden spoke, he spent 2 digs here. It is very significant to the OT prior to Joshua 11. There are no visitors here, as most tours never see this place. First, Size is amazing, and was bigger than Jerusalem. They have found so much in this area. This location would be hard to conquer, as you can see down the mountain on all sizes. This palace was Canaanite, pre-Israelite, about 12,000 BC. We discussed relative dating with pottery systems. Everything has a record as they dig. This palace was destroyed by Joshua. They found the derbies layer and ashes. The walls had wood and oil jars all around. City was set on fire, the roof fell and crushed the jars. It was probably 1700 to 1800 degree fire, as there is so much furl and air here. It melted the mud bricks and pottery. This all documented in Archeology review. This site shows the Bible's historical narrative is TRUE! Joshua has to have existed, it happened! Look at the evidence, as only a few places could destroy a city this big. It would be like a small town countering New York City. It had about 240,000 people at the time, which was very large for that time. It couldn't be Egyptian or local people, as they statues of these areas were destroyed, hand cut off heads and hands of the idols. If people aren't believing Hazor was destroyed by Joshua, they have problems with Bible, not evidence. Deborah in Judges destroyed this area too. There is evidence of both destructions! I have a lot of photos on camera, which I can upload at a later time. They have been excavating since the 50s.

The Panyast, or Banias, name is from a roman Greek god that was half goat and half man. The legend of "echo" Near Syria, often bombed last 63 yrs and "panic" come from this place. We drove by Nimrod's castle and the place of the Crusades. The word Assassin comes from this area, as they gave the spoilers hash before fighting. Dr. Percier speaks about this area. On the way to this area we were right near Syria and Lebanon. There were lots of shelters for bombs and ruins of buildings.

Mark 8, Ceasera Philippi, this is the location named there. Peter said to Jesus, "you are the Christ". This place was pagan and dedicated to a Caesar. This made it a very political place to say this. Peter likely thought Jesus intent was here for politics, which he wasn't. It was here that Jesus explains he is the so of a God. What Satan builds, Jesus will destroy! He spoke on servant Leadership. Ask yourself what are you will to give to serve God? Take up your cross today. This temple had water flowing from the rocks, and the pagans made their sacrifices there. It was there that Jesus pointed to when he said the gates of hell will be destroyed.

Next we go to Tel Dan, the name marks the northern most border of Israel, and comes from the tribe of Dan. It was a nature hike to the Dan. Their was a huge spring and many flowers on the way. The wall and places for the gates. There was a place in the stones where the hinges souls have been to the wooden walls. Dr. Roden spoke at the Dan gate complex. It is an impressive location. In the Bible, tribe of Dan is mentioned in Gen. 14:14, called a different name (Laish), as they wrote the Bible. We are in the north, right near Syria. Abraham knew of this city and went through it. There is gate complex that Abraham would have walked through! It has been restored based on much research. This area is important to the city, it was a gathering place and much would be done there. They found writings on the wall and they found the inscription that said "house of David" was conquered. There is proof outside of Bible to show that King David was real and significant. I views from atop the mountain were amazing! We could see Syria and Libya. Check out the pics.

Lunch at Gag Al Haden, meaning fish of the Dan. They didn't have St Peters fish, that gave up the coins. The food was family style and amazing!!! Hummus was perfect flavor, nothing like the states. I loved the food!

Down to the Sea of Galilee, 21 mikes across it. I am so looking forward to the ride on the Jesus boat! I went on now that I am updating this, and it was life changing and made me feel so close to Jesus! He walked on water and calmed the storm there. We danced, I bought a shirt, we got a certificate. I took videos, as it was so amazing, I don't even have words. They played beautiful Christian music and flew an American flag. The boat sailed from the museum to Tiberus, which talks about. The museum was amazing too, as they found a 2000 year old boat, and when they pulled it out of the water they were trying to decide if they should just keep it for themselves, but God sent them a double rainbow and they decided to share it with the world! You may or may not know, but rainbows have always been very special to me and they are a promise from God to Noah to never flood the whole world again, they bring such hope and love.
