Today was a low key day. We both had some administrative duties to perform. Deb needed to get a press release out to a Tampa magazine for her shows in October and I had the accounting activities with Quickbooks and Quicken. We had also promised a copy of the pictures that Deb had taken to Beautiful Aspen. The picture turned out very nice and so we went to Walmart to print out our first picture from Deb's new Canon 40D. The Kodak printing station was very easy to use and the prints looked great. We stopped off for a last lunch at Orlando's and then went out to the pueblo to drop off the photos. Arthur seemed very pleased to get them and wished us safe journey. We stopped by another gallery area on the way back, but did not find any places that seemed to fit Deb's work. Amazingly, it did not rain today!

We had dinner in this evening and then went downtown to listen to a cello duet, Michael Kott and Mark Dudrow. I don't know what I expected, but these two played cellos in ways I'd never heard! Apparently, they only get together a couple of times a year and jam at the Adobe Bar in the Taos Inn. When we first arrived the piece they were playing was kind of new age haunting and I wasn't sure I was up for a whole evening of that. But then they switched to a piece that had the sound and bowings of a country fiddle piece. After that, they had a local flutist join them and did two pieces that sounded like Irish jigs. They finished with a jazz inspired piece, again doing things with cellos that I couldn't even imagine. What a fun evening! Tomorrow on to Mom & Dad's place.
