We stayed in Houston when we came across the US from California. Driving the RV in Houston traffic is just great fun! Lanes join, merge, leave, exit left, right, etc. and drivers in Houston seem to feel that swerving across four lanes to get to an exit is no big deal. We're always glad to get into and out of Houston safely. Deb has been making jewelry since our trip across the US in the fall of 2006. She discovered a wholesale jewelry supply store in Houston and we had to stop and stock up. The store is in a non-descript office building that houses many wholesale jewelers and jewelry suppliers. You have to check in with the guard at the front who takes a picture of your driver's license so they know who to go after in the event of a robbery. Makes you feel real secure. Deb selected her booty and has ideas for several new pieces. Women are always asking her where she got her jewelry so she's going to replicate some of the pieces she's made in the past and see if she can sell them.
We left Houston behind and headed towards Fredericksburg in the hill country between Austin and San Antonio.
