Where I stayed
I arrived in Corpus Christi at around 6:10pm Central time. It was a pretty bumpy flight out of DC, there was a huge storm front coming up from North Carolina, which I flew over. I made it to Dallas at around 3:30, which was 30 minutes late. Everyone on the plane was pretty pissed because they missed their flights. For me, it was no problem because it only meant I didnt have to wait in the terminal as long.. Haha. Anyway, got into Corpus and decided that I wanted Uncle Sam to buy me a rental car for the week. I decided to get the most expensive, fast car they had, which was a 2008 Dodge Avenger.... I also decided to get insurance too. I drove to the hotel and checked in. My room is pretty big, its a business suite which means I have a living room and mini bar (not the fridge of drinks, but an actual bar) and a master bedroom rather than just a big room with a king size bed in the middle. Thank you Navy. The guy I flew down with who works with me wanted me to go to dinner at 7. He picked me up and we drove (listening to easy listening classic christian rock the whole ride, we obviously wont be partying together) to a Mexican restaurant with authentic Mexican food (we are 2 hours from the border), so I am pretty sure I will have diarrhea tomorrow. He did let me know what alcoholic beverages are free on any flight outside the US. That means I will most likely fly into Bahrain drunk, and apparently its not that uncommon in the Government. Anyway, gonna close this blog out, more to come later in the week. I will update the pcitures too later this week, stay tuned.
