Hibari House

Well we were fed up about having no bath in Hibari House and i was missing the onsen in Bandai-atami so we booked two nights in a Ryokan with onsen in the area of Hakone. Hakone is a national park about 90km west of Tokyo and just south of Mt. Fuji, it is known for its beauty and people use it as a place to get away from Tokyo for a while.
We spent the first day doing a loop of the national park using train, cable car, ropeway, boat and bus. We stopped off at Owakudani, a volcanic valley which was created by an eruption over 2000 years ago. People have been using the volcanic water for centuries  for onsens. They boil eggs  in the water at the  top (1050m) , the water turns the shells black and u get 6 for 500yen. By eating the eggs we gained magical powers (err not), but they were nice.
We then continued our journey around the park by sailing across lake Ashi on a pirate boat, on a clear day you can get good views of Mt. Fuji, but it was too cloudy and we could not see it.
We then spent a really relaxing evening soaking in the onsen and drinking beer to recover afterward! The next day we walked around the town we were staying at saw some nice scenery and prayed at a shrine.
We are back in Tokyo now so enjoy the pics, we are going to get our hair cut soon also we are in Gifu and Kyoto with Yoji next week so more pics soon!
