Chris was quiet, because earlier that week I had told him how I'd spent the past month.
Ever since we returned from the January Cruise, I had been monitoring this cruise every 4 hours - looking for an available room. It was COMPLETELY sold out, so I had secretly put our names on the waiting list. My passport expired in February, and I had paid extra to get an expedited replacement.
The prior Tuesday I received notice that Atlantis had a cancellation. They offered (at full price) an outside cabin on the bottom deck. I SO wanted to go, but this was less than a week preparation this was asking WAY too much!
Anyway, Thursday afternoon - he agreed to go crazy with me and go on the trip - so long as I handled the whole thing.
Me, not wanting to be too anxious, waited an appropriate amount of time before acting - I think it was an entire 3 seconds!
We were also starting a new tradition - visiting Vince and Andy in Naples on the way. The best tradition we EVER invented.
By 5pm, I had booked the cruise, the flight (into Ft Myers and out of Ft Lauderdale), the car rentals to the and from each airport (3 in total).
I had to go to UPS Store to use a fax to send and receive documents. There was not enough time to receive any documents, no guidebook, nothing from the cruise company.
