There are 10 couples here, and the excitement is thick! We are checked into an amazing hotel here in the capital city of Hunan province, which is where all of our "Spice Girls" come from! We are taken to the adoption center in town here (town is small for China... just around 5.5 million)! In a whirlwind of action, there is suddenly a room full of crying babies, cooing moms, video and camera-clicking dads, and a wall lined with somewhat bemuzed nannies and officials! Sydney was predictably quite upset for a while... the other "older" children (16, 18 months) also were a little less compliant than the younger ones. After a few hours things had progressed considerably, and both mom & daughter are now blissfully recovering from day 1!

Love the pictures - they brought tears to my eyes! Thanks Peter for sharing all the moments. Hugs and kisses to all of you. I can't wait to meet your little girl. She may be way past sharing toys with mine but we'll find other ways to bond in that girl-power way. Jordan, Alex and Matt - be very scared!
