Nothing and Everything
Our return to Zhuhai on Wednesday put an end to our first summer off as full-time teachers. Man, is the teacher's schedule a good way to live life. Ten months of really hard work and then two months of leisure - that is the way to do it. We have traveled so much during the last year that we couldn't wait to get home to beautiful Bend, Oregon and spend time with our family, friends, and the great outdoors.
Blue skies, clean air, stars, open space, forests, lakes, rivers....the list goes on and on. One of us put in a record for most days fished in one summer, we'll let you guess. We were delighted at the ability to head 30 minutes out of town and find a spot alone on the Deschutes. It was strange to realize how accustomed we had become to living amongst millions of others. The solitude was welcomed.
So, this blog would not be complete without a documentation of our summer "home". We miss you already.
With Love,
Peter and Melissa
P.S. Aaric this is a test. If you read this send a comment.
