We visited Yeli Dao a few weeks ago on a Saturday. Dao means island, so Yeli Dao is one of Zhuhai's hundreds of islands. It's just a small island, and it is connected to the mainland by a bridge. The city has recently improved it with trails and walkways, and many people go there to hike or jog. You can rent bikes, but we opted for the steep, uphill climb to the top of the island. We saw almost as many different species of butterflies on this day than we did during our time in Costa Rica. Looking around at the scenery it reminds us again that, coming from the U.S., we have no idea what China is really like. It was so beautiful, just maybe not the best choice for an intensely smoggy, humid day with temperatures in the 90's. I'll use the heat as an excuse for our delirious dorkiness during the video. Enjoy the photos, too!
