I asked the Chinese teachers at my school about the town you lived in and they explained that it was one of the nicest areas of China. I interpret it as the "Lake Oswego of China." I looks beautiful.

Thanks for commenting everyone! I don't know if I would call it L.O., but it sure does feels like we live in a resort. Outside of Huafa though, it is most definitely China. Congrats on the job, Aurora!

Awesome pictures! I never knew there could be such beautiful residential settings in China! I think this was a good marketing ploy to encourage travellers to China by putting you both in such nice settings.

Our housing is part of our employment contract, so I'm sorry that I cannot tell you the rent. Utilities are quite low, however.
