Bogabri to
St George….my thoughts….. First night of caravaning had been a great success with the Bogabri Caravan Park a winner and would be hard to repeat.. Day 2 was a shocker…..From the time I was asked approaching Narrabri if I wanted to visit the CSIRO Telescope station? and answered honestly, foolishly and selfishly 'no' the day detiorated ….very bad coffee, choice of the Moree lunch picnic spot, bumpy bitumen roads, the shock at the amount of water sucking cotton growing irrigation systems etc. Right through to the Caravan Park in
St George which was such a shocker that we drove out of it only to find there was no alternative, so back we came. Just on dark the day was saved by finding that our Park neighbour was a friend fron C. Coy. 3RAR Vietnam so we were able to wash away the day. The one special sight of the day for me was the Namoi in flood at Narrabri
