Our departure from Brisbane went so quick that it didn't feel like we waited 2 hours before boarding. In fact the flight left before the due time and we arrived at our destination about 30 minutes early. Just as well as we had a child screaming nearly all the way through the night flight. Fortunately the trusty ear plugs stash (courtesy of, ex Shop-A-Docket, Alliance Paper factory) came in handy along with the complimentary airline headset.

Our travel agent for some reason must have thought gluten-intolerant and vegetarian is the same thing and diligently prearranged Julie’s airline meals. I enjoyed a tasty omelette with sausage but Julie just got boiled veges. Later, for our croissants, mine came with a mini container of jam but for vegetarians they only get vegemite. Who’d thought jam contained meat?
