So here we are....Belize and she is mighty beautiful. The trip here was super smooth and everyone is very nice. So here is how it all went down:

So we got up early and saw Avery off to school and soon after our Arrow pest guy showed up....what timing! So once he was done on the inside, out we shot like a rocket to I285. Traffic was light and we had no issues getting to the airport.

The problem was that the new International terminal was a bit out of the way...in fact, it took us another 15 mins just to get into the International terminal. Once there it was amazing as you can see. No lines and hardly anyone at the terminals. Security was light and we passed through with minutes to spare on then on to Gate E02. But before we got there, a pit stop was needed by the woman in charge and at this time, i released the Kracken....I told her where we were going (see video below).

We were soon in the air with a very empty flight and minimal hassles. Ginger soon passed out due to waking up every night at 3am for some reason. Before you knew it, I had a Woodford Reserve in my hand and Ginger had a bloody mary and we were happy campers. Before you knew it, I did surprise #2 - her anniversary gift.....a pair of diamond studded earrings. So a heavy sigh of relief was made by yours truly and I could now relax.

We were soon landing in Belize City and boy it was a small airport....but the benefit here was that there was no one around. We were through customs and on to Tropic Air for our 20 min puddle jump. The great news is that they got us on an earlier flight and it was rock solid. With a packed plane of 'bulbous' passengers, we were up and then down in San Pedro and ready to roll.

We met our driver from Pelican Reef and off we went. San Pedro is so wonderful....laid back and a little rough around the edges, but boy - so full of color....fruit stands, stores, cafes, Belkin Beer (what what!?!) and a ton of smiling faces. Really nice....and golf carts everywhere packed with tourists.

Before you knew it, we were at Pelican Reef Villas and immediately met by Terry and Ruth (the bartender) and ice cold cloths were handed to us as well as a frosty beer for me and a chilly mixed fruity drink for me Ginger.

Long story short - we quickly were given a tour, jumped into our bathing suits and down to the pool we went....which is where I am now tying this out.....with a little wifi and a prayer. Ginger just got back from the beach (snoozing) and it is 5pm and looking forward to our dinner tonight. Stay tuned!
