After Vienna, we crossed the boarder to Czech Rep by train... Well, Austrian train, and Czech train, bus and train - all because of track works.  Welcome to Eastern Europe!
Krumlov is as picturesque as any postcard and coffee table book I've seen.  The castle is pretty amazing, esp since it's built right on a cliff.  The town is compact and you could cover it in an afternoon.  But it's such a pretty place you just want to stay there a bit longer.  Plus it's autumn in Europe and the leaves have started to fall, which really add to the colours of the city.
The weather was good for the two days when I was there, although a bit cold.  Had my first beer in over 8 months, which was refreshing after working and riding around town.  Also ate lots of dumplings, pork and potato pancakes - all bad food (for me).  Trying to find a nice piece of crystal, a cute, well made (and cheap) marionette and trdelnik (sweet pastry with nuts, cinnanmon and sugar) without much success so hopefully Prague will be more fruitful on the shopping front!
Having said that, hope I'm not giving things away, but it's so much cheaper in Krumlov than in Prague!
