Up at 4.15am to meet our Game Tracker/Driver at 4.45am to begin our 3 hour early morning Game Drive. Within 5 minutes we came across 3 lions sleeping in the middle of the road (see picture), what a start! Later in the drive we had our best viewings of the white rhino, they seem to be very camera shy. We saw more Zebras, Impala, Kudu and Buffulo plus another hippo in a large waterhole. But still no more elephants and no leopard. We left Kruger and arrived at Hazeyview at 2.00 o'clock for lunch. We were given a surprise when the honeymoon suite was given to us to make up for the urine incident the night before in Kruger. I think we came out infront, we had a beautiful bungalow with thatched roof and ensuite overlooking the Sabie River.
After lunch we went for a walk through the rainforest along the banks of the Sabie River to some rapids that some of us (Pete, not Mandy) floated down hitting every submerged rock on the way, fun... I was to scared after she saw the sign that said "Beware of Hippos and Crocs".
Tonight was our last tonight together with our new friends so there was lots of drinking and many laughs. We introduced the group to the drinking game "Spin the Camera" (some of you may have played this before) see picture. Dinner was a delicious roast that our tour guide cooked. Our crazy German friend Heike led us on the Sprinkbok dance (see picture). Tonight we fell asleep to the sounds of the rapids in the Sabie River.
Tomorrow we are leaving at 8am to drive all day to head back to Johannesburg. Ending our Africa Safari.
For all our friends on the Safari thanks for making it so much fun. We haven't laughed so much in a long time.
We totally recommend a Kruger National Park tour as it was a wonderful experience. Next we are off to Cape Town.
