We left Franz Josef still heading south and as we approached Fox Glacier we decided to do the walk to the glacier end. This huge glacier was descending down the valley and was very impressive to view.

Carried on south along a very scenic route once again. Spending the night in Haast - a tiny place as most of them are, before heading inland tomorrow ( no options as the only road takes us that way) through Mount Aspiring National Park and across the Haast pass.

Total 162 Kms
